The Gye Nyame symbol is indigenous to the Asante people of Ghana. The symbol is one of their highest philosophical symbols which is part of a collection known as Adinkra symbols.

Over time the gye nyame symbol has been erronously associated with religions; as to many theists it represents the perverted term God.

In fact,  in pure asante philosophy Onyame is not God, Jesus, Allah, Shiva, buddha or any of the European/Asian gods as the masses have been indoctrinated to believe. The concept of onyame existed way before the idea of God, jesus, Allah etc were conceived.

In Asante the notion about a supreme being is one which is not meant to be taught because all that denotes a supreme being could be found in nature.. Thus the saying “obi nkyere abofra nyame”—no one teaches the child about the supreme being

It is sad how theists are ignorant thus sometimes behave like lunatics as a result of conflation of ideas and philosophies.

In abrahamic religions just like many other Euro-arab-asian religions, life is linear—you live, die and escape to heaven whereas in Asante philosophy just like many african philosophies or ‘spiritualities’ life is cyclical and its a major reason as to why the gye nyame symbol is shaped as it is.

It represents an all come, all go and come again. Thus in asante philosophy life doesn’t end.

In fact, it was out of this philosophy in the Nile valley that the ancient Africans saw the need for wealth creation and a more sophisticated  life that leads to the preservation and improvement of life so that ones energies when returned to earth could enjoy a better life than it previously did.

It was Ancient African people who taught this philosophy to Europeans who then spent so much time improving themselves, colonizing and brainwashing others so they are always on top of the evolutionary ladder.

In African philosophy life is not nihilistic and it doesn’t end as many Africans have been brainwashed to believe.

All is energy and according to the law of conservation of energy, “energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can be transformed from one state to another”

Away from philosophy, the shape of the Gye Nyame symbol even way before the invention of modern space machines is just as exact as the milky way galaxy

A closer look at the Gye Nyame symbol bears so much resemblance to the Barred Galaxy that it could hardly be ignored.

“A barred spiral galaxy is a spiral galaxy with a central bar-shaped structure composed of stars. Bars are found in approximately two-thirds of all spiral galaxies. Bars generally affect both the motions of stars and interstellar gas  within spiral galaxies and can affect spiral arms as well.[1]

In 2005, observations by the Spitzer Space Telescope backed up previously collected evidence that suggested the Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy. Observations by radio telescopes had for years suggested our galaxy to be barred, but Spitzer’s vision in the infrared region of the spectrum has provided a more definite calculation. “-wiki

Its about time African Christians, muslims, buddhists etc stopped conflating philosophies. If you believe in jesus go for the cross and leave the gye nyame alone. It has nothing to do with bullshit.
